Keeping Him Busy
For boys it is important to remain active. A well-planned series of extra-curricular activities after school or in early evening provide a great balance for your son. While the school year should be focused on reaching academic benchmarks, a blend of activities is strongly recommended.

Following are a few suggestions:
  • Chess, which teaches offense and defense
  • Debate, which teaches the art of communication and can help develop excellent verbal skills for boys
  • Tai Chi, which teaches body movement and helps people learn about their bodies
  • Yoga, which teaches focus, good posture and self-learning
  • Boxing, which focuses on physical fitness, self-defense and self control
  • Swimming, which is fun, great exercise and burns a lot of calories
  • Monthly library visits, which increase academic potential and allow students to work independently.
