Raising Him Alone - Providing Resources and Support For Single Mothers Raising Boys

Do you know a African American single mother who is hard working, creative, and dedicated to improving the life of her son? Raising Him Alone Campaign are launching the Exceptional Mom Award. This award will honor three exceptional African American single mothers who are raising a son. The award is designed to celebrate outstanding courage and determination to raise a healthy and productive African American male. Often the media demonizes single mothers and lessons the importance of mothers raising children.

Congratulations to the Raising Him Alone Winners of the Exceptional Mom Contest Five mothers from across the country were selected by a team of judges. Over 200 moms who are raising sons were nominated. Our judges selected five winners from 48 semi-finalists. Each winner received a Mother’s Day Gift bag.
