Raising Him Alone Campaign will feature resource fairs at each kickoff (Saturday, March 14, 2009- Newark, NJ & Saturday, April 18, 2009 Baltimore, MD) focusing on connecting mothers and sons to vital community based resources.
Our featured exhibitors at the resource fairs provide services and information focusing specifically on mothers and sons. We believe that parent education and intervention programs for boys will have the greatest short-term and long-term impact on boys and their families.
Our goal is to increase the connectedness of mothers and sons and to ensure that parents understand the importance of parental engagement in raising healthy male children. We are committed to connecting parents to "authentic" community based resources which are committed to improving parenting skills, teach child development and enhance the mothers ability to love, care for, and safely raise their male children.
Every single mother faces hard questions.
The Resource Fairs seek to support the mothers ability to answer the hard questions through providing vital resources and information.
Parents will be able to sign up for community based services at resource fairs in
