Raising Him Alone Blog (www.RHAblog.com) is dedicated to supporting and empowering mothers who are raising boys. Being a parent of male child can be stressful and often filled with disappointments. This blog focuses on uplifting single mothers raising boys through creating a healthy space for personal reflection and personal growth. This blog respects all opinions but our goal is to use this forum as a means to create a healthy exchange that can support the positive development of families.

Raising Him Alone Campaign is an effort to mobilize single mothers raising boys. Specifically, Raising Him Alone seeks to create a larger community dialogue around supporting single mothers raising boys through increasing advocacy and linking mothers and sons to "authentic" community based services.

Over the years, we have had many conversations with parents about cultivating and protecting the emotional capital of African American males. These conversations consist of African American mothers who represent a variety of experiences, socio economic backgrounds, educational levels and religions.

The Raising Him Alone blog will feature quest bloggers from across the country who will lead discussions on a variety of topics which include the following: the role of fathers in raising boys, talking to your son about sex, dealing with peer pressure and coping with divorce/separation.
